Ngāti Whātua Ōrākei Whai Rawa Limited is deeply saddened to announce the sudden passing of its Chief Executive Officer, Andrew Crocker, on Saturday.

Michael Stiassny, Chairman of the Whai Rawa Board said, “It is with great sadness that I announce the passing of my friend and colleague Andrew Crocker. Andrew joined Ngāti Whātua Ōrākei Whai Rawa in 2014 and served as our Chief Executive Officer since 2017. Throughout that time, Andrew has worked tirelessly to enhance the Ngāti Whatua Ōrākei financial portfolio and forge a positive future for the entire hapū.

He was a much respected and valued colleague, a friend and an essential part of the Whai Rawa whānau.

Our hearts go out to Andrew’s whānau and friends and we would ask that their privacy be respected at this difficult time.”

Andrew will lie at Ōrākei Marae on Friday 21 May from 11am. Whānau and friends are welcome to pay their respects and to grieve with us the passing of a good, kind and gentle man who was passionate in his work to support Ngāti Whātua Ōrākei.
