Future Director Programme 2024

Kia ākina ngā rangatira mō āpōpō

The Ngāti Whātua Ōrākei Whai Rawa Future Directors Programme is designed to foster and grow the next reanga of hapū leaders by providing hands-on experience in governance for emerging leaders, equipping them with the skills needed to lead Ngāti Whātua Ōrākei into a thriving future.

About the role

As a Future Director, you’ll have the chance to step into the boardroom and attend all Whai Rawa Board meetings, participating just like a board member. While you won’t have voting rights or be counted in the meeting quorum, you’ll still be an integral part of the discussions. You’ll also be paired with an experienced mentor from our Board, who will guide and support your growth.

The role is for a 2-year term and you'll receive attendance fees for your participation.
